ABOUT THE PROJECT EDUC-ARTS

The main aim of the partnership is to develop an educational guide for lifelong learning based on good cultural education practices, called “Educ-Art-Manual”, as the main deliverable, especially designed for adult training. The manual will provide the necessary tools to successfully address and manage innovation in the adult learning. The proposed manual will be the outcome of the combination of methodologies deriving from the multidisciplinary approach of the members of the partnership as well as from the experience gained during the training courses in the various participating countries. The partners will implement a number of training courses addressed to adults and +50 citizens, in the field of culture and arts, in order to contribute to the EU objective to confront the increasing unemployment of adults +50 and the related problems arising from the ageing population of Europe.
More specifically the courses will be developed on the basis of four thematic areas:
1st:  2.0 Collaborative work and tools.
2nd:  Cultural and arts’ education and training
3rd: Active Ageing
4th: Cultural entrepreneurship for adult people
The partnership pursues offering the adults +50 learners a meaningful life through their participation in cultural activities corresponding to the training courses. Implementing the particular project for +50 adult participants, they will have the opportunity of having adult training courses on different aspects of culture and arts, in order to master their prior knowledge or acquire new on specific arts and cultural expressions (dance, music, etc) and spend a pleasant and meaningful time during and after the courses.

The objectives of the partnership are:
• To create an adult training module in the field of culture and arts
• To reintegrate in the society a number of marginalized adults +50 through training courses
• To create new job opportunities in the field of culture for unemployed or under the risk of unemployment adults +50
• To exchange good practice in the field of culture and arts adult training
• To raise awareness  of the value of cultural diversity and bring forward the idea that cultural diversity unites and makes us true Europeans;

In order to achieve our goals, our strategy is based on the ongoing collaborative work between members of the Partnership and their relevant exchange of know-how, methodologies and good practices. Our approach seeks to develop training and lifelong learning from the cultural and arts’ education.
